SIA celebrates four new graduates!

At the commencement ceremony for fall semester 2013 School of International Affairs students Ross W Clark, Brian M Gardner, Bo Wang and Ashton Zylstra will graduate. The event will be held on Saturday, December 21, at 4:30 p.m. in Bryce Jordan Center. Neil Sharkey, Penn State's interim vice president for research, will give the commencement address.

"We are confident that they will each, in their respective ways, contribute to the developments that continue to shape our increasingly globalized society" said Dr. Tiyanjana Maluwa, Director of the School of International Affairs and Associate Dean for International Affairs at Penn State's Dickinson School of Law.
This weekend's commencement ceremony will honor 5,133 students, bringing the all-time total of Penn State graduates to more than 726,800. At University Park, 10 students are expected to receive associate degrees, while 2,662 will be awarded baccalaureate degrees. SIA students are among the approximately 715 master's degree students expected to graduate. There are also 203 doctoral degree candidates. The University holds commencement exercises for graduate students three times a year: at the end of the fall and spring semesters and at the end of the summer session.
