Experiential Learning
Through our rigorous program, you will gain expertise in contemporary global issues while learning the fundamentals of international relations that will shape the world in the decades to come.
As a student in our program, you will engage in role-playing simulations, briefings, negotiations, writing United Nations memos, drafting project proposals, and more.
Each year, SIA holds a school-wide simulation with the Army War College, in which you, along with your peers and faculty, spend multiple days negotiating an international crisis.
As part of your studies, you will choose a capstone experience that is either a master's paper or a supervised internship. The internship integrates your curricular studies in an actual working environment, while a master's paper allows you to explore your areas of interest and engage in original research. These experiences will prepare you to excel in a wide range of careers in international affairs.
