The Center for Global Studies welcomes Kim Barker, journalist and author. Barker recounts her experiences as a war reporter in her book “The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan" (2011). The book became the basis for the movie, "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot," released in 2016. Barker is now a metro reporter at the New York Times, specializing in investigative reporting and narrative writing. Book signing and reception to follow in the Katz Atrium at 5:30 p.m.
