In this installment of the SIA Research Seminar Series, Penn State Professor Political Science Joe Wright examinse the political impact of money sent back home by migrant workers, which are a major source of international finance for developing countries. Although some say these “remittances" support authoritarian stability, Professor Wright argues they actually contribute to political protest in non-democratic countries.
