Research Seminar: Need based financial aid and college completion

Neryvia Pillay Bell will explore empirical results that examine whether the provision of financial aid based on the need of the recipient affects the prospect of completing tertiary education.
Bell is an assistant professor in the School of Economics at the University of Cape Town, a policy associate at Economic Research Southern Africa and a research fellow at the South African Reserve Bank. She is currently is visiting scholar in the School of Social Science at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton. Her research interests include labor markets, education, health, social grants, inequality, and taxation.
