Vineeta Yadav, Penn State Associate Professor of Political Science and Affiliate Professor at SIA, will present “Learning Democracy Under Dictators: Testing Elite Support for Building Strong Courts in Egypt, 2011-2011 ” on Thursday, September 15th from 1 – 2 p.m. in 241 Katz as part of the School of International Affairs Research Seminar Series.

Yadav’s research focuses on the political and policy consequences of institutional design, the comparative study of interest-group behaviors and their consequences on political outcomes, policy outcomes, judicial politics in developing countries, and economics development. She specializes in the politics of Brazil, India, and China where she has conducted field research.
