Dr. Matthew Burrows will present on his recent report, Global Risks 2035: The Search for a New Normal, and the recently released report from the U.S. National Intelligence Council, Global Trends: Paradox of Progress. The objective of the reports is to encourage leaders to see beyond current crises.

Mathew Burrows is the director of the Strategic Foresight Initiative in the Brent Scowcroft Center on International Security at the Atlantic Council. The Strategic Foresight Initiative develops actionable foresight by identifying and assessing long-term, emerging global trends; connecting them to current challenges to inform policy and draw implications for strategy; and designing innovative strategies to reach desired future scenarios. The Initiative, which strives to forge greater collaboration on futures analysis among its main partners around the world, has rapidly become a hub for an expanding international community of global trends, foresight, technology experts, strategists, and planners
