Christie Persio has been working in college admissions for nearly 9 years. Her career in higher education started in 2008 where she served as an admissions counselor for the South Hills School of Business and Technology. She was a former director for the Pennsylvania Highlands Community College and former associate director for admissions at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. In her current role as director of admissions for the Penn State School of International Affairs, she is responsible for recruiting, admissions strategy, application review, financial aid, student ambassadors, and outreach. She holds a B.A. in psychology with a minor in ethics and a master’s degree in adult and community education. Persio is passionate about mentoring and finds it very rewarding helping and motivating students towards their professional goals and potential. She hopes to have a positive and lasting impact on the lives of the students she works with during their Penn State career and beyond.
