Originally from South Carolina, I spent much of my childhood living in Bolivia until I returned to the U.S. as a teenager. After earning my B.A. in English Education, I worked as an English and Spanish teacher in the U.S. public school system for two years. This background in education combined with my childhood international experience has given me the desire to apply my skill set to a more global field. I am pursuing concentrations in Human Rights and Development Policy with the intention of addressing social issues such as access to education, children's rights, and eradication of poverty.
Though I considered several programs, my decision to attend SIA was one I could make confidently. The faculty and staff are not only highly knowledgeable and respected in their fields, but also have a strong desire to see students succeed. The flexibility of the program reflects the vision of the school to embrace the diversity of its students and their backgrounds. Please feel free to contact me about both the challenges and opportunities SIA has to offer.
