I am an international first-year MIA student from India with intended concentrations in International Energy and Development. My prior academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration focusing on Philanthropic Governance and Leadership, an MS in Sustainability Management, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration specializing in Human Resources and Marketing Management. My previous work experiences include project and program management, marketing and sales management, international development consultancy, and research in the nonprofit, higher education, and financial sectors. In addition to being a Student Ambassador for SIA, I am also a student leader in SIA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Student Advisory Group. I love the outdoors and spend my vacations hiking and camping.
I chose the School of International Affairs because of a number of reasons. These include an amazing alumni network, renowned faculty, study abroad opportunities, diverse range of electives, flexibility in structuring your own concentration, scholarships, inclusive classrooms, and emphasis on developing critical thinking, analytical skills, research capabilities, and experiential learning.
