Shirin Bouzari

Born in Iran, I was raised into politics. I show interest in the matter and started studying Political Science in Azad University in Tehran. In middle of my studies I moved to the United States in 2013 and finished my BA in International Studies with emphasis in Public Diplomacy at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. After graduation, I moved to Washington D.C. and interned at Churches for Middle East Peace. I consider myself exclusively placed to bring cultures together. There is no better subject to study than International Relations to help me fulfil my ambition and longtime dream of working at the United Nations.

In perusing my dream, I applied to graduate schools across the U.S. and came to realization that Penn State was the best place for me. The program allows students to grow and help them shape their ideas and interests by offering various resources throughout their academic career. The diverse range of students from around the world, allows for intercultural conversations inside and outside of the classrooms. With exceptional group of faculty and staff, the students at SIA will get a world class on the variety of topics. With this program, I can see myself reaching my dream.
