"America's Relations with Russia in the Age of Putin" with Ambassador Thomas Pickering

Join the School of International Affairs in welcoming a distinguished presenter in our SIA Research Seminar Series: former U.S. Ambassador Thomas R. Pickering, who will present on "U.S. Policy Toward Russia in the Age of Putin."

Ambassador Pickering is among the most decorate and respected figures in the world of diplomacy and international affairs, having served for over forty years in the U.S. Foreign Service. His decorated, globe-spanning career included ambassadorships in Russia, India, the United Nations, Israel, El Salvador, Nigeria, and Jordan. Ambassador Pickering also served as Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, and holds the rank of Career Ambassador, the highest in the U.S. Foreign Service. He is also the namesake ofthe prestigious Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship Program administered by the U.S. Department of State.

In addition to this research presentation, Ambassador Pickering will also lead the annual Army War College Simulation later this same evening. The School of International Affairs is honored to welcome Ambassador Pickering and his unparalleled expertise to campus.
