THE SCHOOL

Penn State's School of International Affairs is an interdisciplinary program drawing extensively upon the intellectual resources of faculty across several academic units of the University. Offering a professional master's degree in international affairs with several specialty areas of study, its mission is to prepare exceptional students for careers and leadership positions in both the private and public sectors of an increasingly interdependent world. First approved by Penn State's Board of Trustees in January 2007, the School of International Affairs was officially launched on July 1, 2007, and became an affiliate member of APSIA in 2010.

The School of International Affairs is housed administratively within Penn State's Dickinson School of Law and operates under the guidance of Tiyanjana Maluwa, its inaugural Director and the Law School's H. Laddie Montague Chair in Law as well as an advisory board.
