The current student cohort at the School of International Affairs is a mix of students who are diverse in experience, background, national origin, and interests. The class represents twenty-one different countries, including Benin, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Cameroon, China, Egypt, France, India, Kenya, Korea, Kuwait, Mexico, Myanmar, Nigeria, Palestine, Romania, Sierra Leone, Taiwan, Tanzania, Turkey, and the United States. Several students are mid-career professionals with substantial work experience in careers including journalism, information technology, and teaching. Our students represent a broad range of disciplinary backgrounds from international relations to information technology to literature, and several are pursuing joint, concurrent, or consecutive Penn State graduate degrees in areas such as law, agriculture, business, and international education.
